Our Vision

To empower citizens of Sevenoaks District to reach Net Zero carbon by 2030.

Our Mission

To share knowledge, skills and ideas across all sectors of the community around low energy, low carbon, active travel, renewables and reusables and to influence change in collective and individual behaviours and policies.

What We Do

Building Community

So many people are doing great work all across our district already, from cycling campaigns to food growing. We aim to bring people together so we can be more than the sum of our parts.

Promoting Eco-Living

There is a lot we can all do with small day-to-day changes, but it can be confusing. We're creating a forum where we can all share ideas and help each other lead greener lives.

Campaigning for Change

Going green is not about any one political party, but we do need political change. We plan to help our local councils do the right thing - and challenge them if we have to.

How it works

How Does It Work?

Sevenoaks Climate Action Network (Sevenoaks CAN) is all about bringing together people from across our beautiful district to work together to face the climate emergency.

Climate breakdown poses a huge challenge to every aspect of our society, and it's happening right now. It can feel overpowering, but if we start from where we are, working together where we live, we can make a massive difference. Indeed, lots is already happening. We believe Sevenoaks CAN lead the way to a greener, fairer, better future - and we'd love you to be part of it!

"If we wait for the governments, it'll be too late; if we act as individuals, it'll be too little. But if we act as communities, it might be just enough, just on time."
