The average carbon footprint of a UK citizen from Feb 2019 to June 2022 was 12.26 tonnes of Co2e; double the global average. By the end of 2024, the UK figure is expected to be around 8.8 tonnes.

Our emissions can be grouped into five categories, split as follows: Food (14%), Home (23%), Travel (23%), Buying (18%) and Government Spending (22%). We have significant control over the first four categories and can influence Government Spending by lobbying and voting.
